Cute Cat Card – FREE Step by Step Project idea & tutorial

1. Create a mat and layer using the black card - we like a small edge of around 3 - 5mm around the edge so trim the black card down to size to fit the Card Blank. Attach to the front of the card blank.
 
2. Use the Kitty Cat Stencil and brush a black inkpad through the stencil to create a background on white cardstock. Trim it down to create a 2nd layer and attach to the black card.
 
3. Stamp the Cat and the elements onto white card and colour with either alcohol markers like Copics, Spectrum Noir, Promarkers etc, or use Colouring pencils such as Prismacolor, Polychromos etc - the choice is up to you! (make sure you use the right inkpad and the right cardstock for the medium you choose).
 
...(if you use alcohol markers use a Memento Ink pad and a smooth card stock; If using pencils use a card stock that has some texture/'tooth' and Memento/Dye based ink; if you use watercolours use a watercolour card stock and an archival ink that will not bleed with water added).
 
4. Cut out the elements using scissors (or import into your Silhouette Cameo using the PixScan mat, or use a Brother ScanNCut machine to import - and let the machine do the hard work if you hate cutting out or have dexterity issues and need a little help.
 
5. Add 3D foam pads/glue gel to the back of the cat and add to the card. Next cut a small 'shelf' size piece of kraft card and create a 'shelf' and add the goldfish bowl and wool ball. 
 
6. Finally, Stamp out the 'Lovely' sentiment and die cut it with the matching dies, then tuck it under the stencil mat so it's poking out slightly - make sure it will fit inside the envelope though! 
 
And that's it - you're done!
