Whether you want to display tiny treasures, add photos, create seasonal décor, or experiment with paints and embellishments, this layered tray gives you endless creative possibilities. The front frame, inner structure, backing plate and embellishments build together to create a sturdy and dimensional piece that looks stunning on a wall, shelf, or hung with twine.

Precision-cut from high-density MDF, this kit is easy to assemble with PVA glue and is sturdy enough for heavier embellishments, texture pastes, or layered mixed media techniques. The 3-layer construction builds to an approx. 9mm deep tray that feels premium and durable.
The included embellishments (keys, locks, hearts, stars, script words and more) allow you to customise your project even further — perfect for memory keepsakes or themed decorations.

Decorating Tips:
Decorate with acrylic paints, chalk paints, acrylic paint markers, ink pads (we love using Distress Oxides), alcohol markers, pencils, waxes, crayons, spray paints, texture pastes, rice papers, napkins & papers — add your own embellishments and more. To make it waterproof, use a good waterproof clear varnish like a yacht varnish to avoid MDF warping in damp or humid conditions. If you are storing this item for a while, keep it sealed, store flat and away from direct sunlight, heat, or damp areas. MDF is absorbent and will warp if not stored correctly.
