LIST OF HELP FAQ'S

Our CD's and CD programs are extremely simple to use - just open, click and print. If there is any physical issue whatsoever with a CDrom it will not work on your PC, but the following may be of help to you...

Do your CD's work on Mac and PC?

Our CD Navigation menu (the pretty viewing menu) will only work on PC but Mac users can still access all the CD content by using the Mac Finder. Just find the folders called 'images' or the collection name and you will find all the content laid out in folders. You will also see folders that are called 'do not use' - these are low resolution images not suitable for printing and should not be used in your crafting.

My CD won't run, I get a message 'blank disk'...

Occasionally our QA procedure can miss blank disks at the factory - if this happens please contact us and we will replace it for you. You might also get a message asking if you wish to 'write data to disk' - again please contact us for a replacement.

My disk won't load - it just keeps whirring round...

CD readers are notoriously poor quality and now that technology has moved over to USB's they are becoming poorer quality even when installed in your laptop/PC. If you like using CD's rather than downloads we highly recommend you buy an external CD drive which are around £15 (don't go for the cheapest, £15-£20 is about the right price for one that will work). An external reader will be much more reliable and you will have less issues with reading CD's. We are more than happy to test a CD for you if you think there is an issue but it's very rarely the CD at fault unless it's dirty. We often receive CD's back for testing which have lots of scratch marks caused by the CD reader (even from Macs) - if you turn your disk over and find lots of scratches it's probably time for a new external drive.

My disk used to work but now it doesn't seem to be working...

A disk will either work or not and if it did work and now doesn't any longer, you have either damaged it somehow or your PC is at fault. USUALLY it is the latter! Make sure you eject the disk, shut down ALL programs and then reboot your PC. 99% of people find this resolves the issue. Your PC uses dozens of programs in the background you're not aware of and as our CDs hold a huge amount of data and large graphics your PC might struggle to process all the data if it has too many apps running.

When I load my CD I get through a couple of screens and then can't see anything else or I can only see half the screen...

Your PC processor is struggling to load the graphics and data from the disk. You have too many apps running in the background so close down anything you don't need to use and restart the CD. If this does not resolve your issue then use the Windows Task Manager to manage the apps your PC is running. If you do not know how to use Task Manager, please use this link which explains in full...

These are the only issues we ever have with any of our CD roms. We have a list of other help in the FAQ's section of the website such as Adobe errors etc so please also read those if you have any other issues.

We are not a PC Tech Business and legally it would be irresponsible of us to assist you further than this with any PC issues as we are not technically or legally qualified to do so. If you have PC issues we recommend you search for a local PC repair service.

DOWNLOAD ISSUES:

I didn't get my download link on email...

All download orders generate an automatic email receipt after payment has completed but spam/server email filters can stop these reaching your inbox. If you don't receive your confirmation links just LOGIN TO YOUR ACCOUNT ON THE WEBSITE, find your COMPLETED ORDERS section of your account, and all your orders and download links will be shown.

Do I have to download within a certain time?....

No, you have lifetime access to your downloads and can use your account to access (see above) whenever you wish.

Can I download to more than one computer? I have a tablet and a PC I want to use...

yes, you can download as many times as you need to but under no circumstances can you share the file, copy the file or send the file or the link or give access to your account to someone else. This will violate our Terms of Use and is International Copyright Theft. Our website monitors logins from our customers and it will notify us of any suspicious behaviour on downloads so we can revoke your access at any time.

I can't see my downloads in my Completed Orders...

Please contact us with your order number and order details - there may have been an issue with your payment not completing in full. Occasionally if payment servers are busy it can cause an issue with the order completion, so please contact us so we can resolve this quickly for you (fastest way to contact is via email, the Chat facility on the website, send a message via your account or contact us on Facebook via the Polkadoodles Crafting group (Nikky Hall gets lots of PM's each day so these often go to spam, tag her through the Group to ensure a faster response and one of the PD team will also try to help you).

I can't unzip my files...

Zip files are extremely common and a zip is just a compressed folder of images so the filesize is smaller to download. As we make BIG bundles our zips are always still big and can take a while to download depending on your internet speed. To unzip please follow the instructions here on this link:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14200/windows-compress-uncompress-zip-files

It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to unzip and EXTRACT the files, then use the extracted files. If you do not use the extracted files they won't open correctly or you'll only get half the files.

I can't open my files after I've unzipped them...

Make sure you EXTRACTED the files after unzipping (see above).

My file won't load even though it's downloaded correctly and been extracted....

I've downloaded and extracted a CD bundle but I don't know how to use it...
